    • Q: What do I need to make the mix?
    • A: In order to make the batter for pancakes and waffles, you will need a bowl, a whisk or fork, and water. We tried as hard as possible in the kitchen to make the mix as simple as possible.

    • Q:What is mochi?
    • A:Mochi is a rice cake made from sticky glutinous sweet rice. The rice is pounded and folded over a 1000 times (Or so our aunties tell us.) until it reaches a stretchy chewy consistency.

    • Q:What is mochi to us?
    • A:Mochi in Hawaii is intertwined into our culture. The traditions were brought over by immigrants during the plantation days of Hawaii. Many cultures had some form of mochi when they migrated to the islands, many generations later, it stuck (Pun intended) with us.  From Butter mochi, Poi Mochi, Kaki-Mochi, Carioca, Gau, Kapampangan, Bahn Bao Chi, and Mochi Panipopo we share what we know, and try to understand what was shared with us. Food culture back home is always evolving until a product that satisfies everyone's needs is created with the latest trend being the Mochi Donut. At Manoa Bake Co. we want to carry that torch and share that fire with everyone.

    • Q: How long do the mixes last for?
    • Every batch is bagged immediately and are good for roughly one year

    • Q: Does the mix contain any nuts?
    • A: No, it does not. However, we are not a nut-free facility.

    • Q: Will you come out with different flavors?
    • Yes! We plan on adding flavors, and we're currently working on our Taro Mochi Baking Mix, Follow us on @manoabakeco to share the journey with us.
